PMP® Exam Trainer app for iPhone and iPad
PMP® Exam Trainer is the ideal App to prepare for the PMI PMP® exam.
PMP® Exam Trainer was developed by PMP® Professionals and reviewed by a former European PMI chapter official.
All 936 questions (6th edition PMBOK) were developed by an experienced PMP® preparation trainer and are as close as it gets to the real exam questions. There are different question types such as:
•Basic definitions and concepts
•Process related questions (Inputs, Tools & Techniques and Outputs) next or first
•Sequence of process steps (next, first)
•Social and Professional responsibilities
Almost every question comes with an explanation, so you will be able to fully understand which and why one answer is right.
PMP® Exam Trainer features a full training algorithm, which will focus your training on your personal needs and preferences. Each time you answer a question correctly, it will be moved to a virtual stack. There are 4 stacks and every time you answer the same question correctly, it will be moved to the next stack. Also if a question is answered incorrectly the question drops down to the beginning. (Leitner system)
This will help the training algorithm to present a perfect order of questions so the question will remain in the long-term memory of your brain.
In the examination mode PMP® Exam Trainer works like the exam software used in the real exam.
The following modes and features are available in PMP® Exam Trainer:
-Study Mode training algorithm (you can choose between different modes such as “Sorted by knowledge area” or “Show marked questions”)
-Exam Mode
-Review Mode (you can display the overall progress of your training or also the result of your last exam)
Additional Features
-You can skip a question anytime and look at those later
-You are also able to mark questions to have a dedicated look at them later
-In the study mode you can highlight keywords, so the question is easier to answer.
-If you have to adjourn an exam (e.g. you do not have the full 4 hours), no problem, PMP® Exam Trainer will let you pick up your training right at the point you left it.
There is a free version of PMP® Exam Trainer with a limited number of questions for you to try. If you like the app and want to explore the full potential with its built in trainer with hundreds of high quality questions you can buy the full version of PMP® Exam Trainer.
Start your PMP® training now with PMP® Exam Trainer. We wish you good luck on your exam! Though, you will not need any luck with this App anymore.
Customer Feedback:
Alexi M. from the USA: "I passed! I definitely appreciate your app and I know that it helped me a lot. One of the best things about it are the references and I know that takes a lot of work to maintain."
Pros and cons of PMP® Exam Trainer app for iPhone and iPad
PMP® Exam Trainer app good for
Good concept, user friendly, lots of questions on each topics. References to PMBOK.
Need improvements on the followings:
- It crashes sometimes in the middle of an exam... Cannot go back to the exam. Need to restart from scratch.
- Please review also the sizing of the question window: too small and hidden words.
- Review tab does not match with the final results...
- Several typo mistakes.
I highly recommend this apps for someone preparing his/her PMP exam. Very valuable.
Seems like it is based on questions that the PMI would ask. Only problem is that on an iPhone/iPod Touch the screen size makes it pretty hard to choose between a,b,c or d. I have had a couple of "wrong" answers due to the icons being too small, not a problem on my iPad though. I wont be giving my final rating until after the test though.
Some of the PMBOK 5 questions have the wrong answers so, if you get it wrong, double check the references they give just to verify the answer. If you are actually wrong, at least going to the reference will help with your study plan. One final thing, I hope the questions on the PMP Certification exam are not as picky as these questions. But then again, being picky will really test your knowledge.
Some bad moments
Overall the program is good but the English version suffers from several bugs. There are extensive spelling and grammar errors in the English version. Also there is a bug that specific options (A,B,etc.) are named in the answer, but the orders change so the answer makes no sense. Additionally the program confuses Isikawa diagrams and control charts.
In the previous versions many users indicated the size of the font was small. Its really difficult to read and stay focusing as the mobile devise is small too.
Is not work ing with new iOS. Please fix it! I have To train for The exam!
In concept this is a nice little app, if you can look past its failings. The grammar and sentence structure are horrifying and its patently obvious that no one with english as a first language proofed it, which is terribly disappointing. As the other reviewer said the references often conflict with the answers or arent there at all. Very annoyed at the money I spent on this and feel it should be refunded until this app gets an overhaul. Keep looking.
I am currently studying towards my PMP certification and needed something mobile to quiz me. Whilst this application doesnt go into full detail when explaining the correct answer it will at least point you to the correct place in the PMBok reference book. I found the questions to be well phrased and 15 hours into using it i have encountered very few typos. Having used other free online pmp exams and offline cd products, I found the level and variety of questions in this application to be of a high quality. You need to study first and then use this application to gauge your level or readiness as it will not teach you the PMP material.
The previous version had a crashing bug and upon contacting the developers they got back to me very quickly and I am thrilled with the stability and features of the latest version. All in all this application is value for money and will help you prepare. The only bug keeping me from giving it 5 star rating is that sometimes the numbering used in the explanations does no correlate with the numbering of the questions. Hopefully this will be addressed in future versions to reduce some initial confusion to first time users.
Thanks for a great application!
As another reviewer mentioned, the questions and answers have not been proofed by a fluent speaker of English. I ignore that whenever it does not get in the way of the applications objective but that is not the case here. Answers are sometimes completely inaccurate, or the detailed explanation refers to incorrect multiple choice responses, or maybe just dribble off into incompleteness (maybe they were planning to come back and finish writing some of the answers and forgot?). This is a good idea, but the only PMP function truly reliable relate to process groups and knowledge areas.
If you plan to take the exam soon, this will not help. If it is something you are just now exploring before plunking down much more cash to earn PDUs in a more formal prep class, go for it. It will not hurt.
